Operations on this line....

The TR Lakeshore Spur is part of the old NS&T trackage within St. Catharines, located in the north east corner of St. Catharines.
It once ran all the way up to the Port Weller dry docks in Port Weller at Lake Ontario.
Prior to 1930, this line went all the way to Niagara On-the-lake.
Trillium took over switching operations on this line in September 1999.
The line these days, connects to the TR Grantham Spur at Yale Cres. This line was left in after the NS&T days to serve a few of the north end industries, mainly to serve the Port Weller Dry Docks. Around 1993, the CN Lakeshore Spur was removed north of Welland Avenue. These days, as it originally did years ago, the CN Lakeshore Spur passes under the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) at Dieppe Street in St. Catharines, but since mid 2006, a bumper has been placed on the line at mile 0.6 west of Bunting Road.
The line has been shortened again by Trillium, since there aren't any industries to service north of mile 0.7.
After Ferranti Packard closed, some time after, ITS Rail, a part of Electromotive (EMCC) temporarily moved into the plant, as they were looking for a permanent location to finish the building of locomotives from London's former GMD plant. In the fall of 2006, ITS Rail, relocated to Welland into the old Stelco Welland Tube plant.
After a month or so, ITS Rail moved into the former Shaw Pipe Protection and have put up shop putting out UP, BNSF, CVG and units for countries over seas such as Algeria.
In 2006 Trillium gained a new customer along the TR Lakeshore Spur at mile 0.5. The industry is TIW Steel Plateworks.
Trenergy is the other industry on the line, which makes boilers, and is also located on the TR Lakeshore Spur just east of Yale Cres.
During mid 2007, Trillium tore out the TR Lakeshore Spur from mile 0.77 northward across the two Bunting Road xings.
