Dave Beach | I've been seeing the pictures you've posted to ClevelandRails and looking at your website. I wish I had come across the website 6-8 months ago. I work for a company on the west side of Cleveland that until recently had a plant in Thorold (really it's closer to Port Robinson). I've been working on a project there since last summer and had the misfortune to make my last trip there in January when the director showed up and announced the plant was closing. I will miss going there, working with their crew, and trying to get out in the evenings to see boats and trains. I did better in the summer with the boats than the trains. But I enjoyed reading all the info you have even if I don't have an immediate need for it any more. Lots of good infomration there. | March 4, 2009 |

Trooper | Paul, great web site! I really like the CASO stuff as I ran over some of the track earlier in my railway career. BTW, the "Tim Horton" commercials really were based on a true story and I (and many others) who worked the Owen Sound Sub out of Toronto would stop for lunch/dinner at the Timmy's next to the track in Orangeville. That's how the idea for the commercial got started - we were regulars at the place and people would always ask if that was our train parked across the road while we ate! | September 28, 2009 |
