No trackage exists on this line.
The Cement Plant trackage used to run from the west side of the Welland Canal in downtown Port Colborne, west through town across several streets to a location around Elgin Street and over to the Quarry Ponds located on the map above.
The cement plant was located just north or to the west of Elgin St.
The cement plant business extracted Gypsom from the Quarries on the south and north side of the former CN Dunnville Subdivision.
There, to this date was a track that ran underneath the CN Dunnville Subdivision to gain access to the quarry on the south side. You can see the bridge shown on the map.
This business lasted til around the late 1950's are early 1960's producing cement. I've been told that the cement used in the Hydro Canal in Niagara Falls was made here in Port Colborne.
